Using the child-friendly app
Under 16s can see their spending in the app if they have a device – we’ve made it child-friendly for them. They need the same app as you. We’ve just added certain restrictions to keep them safe.
Under 16s can:
See their balance.
See their activity.
View their card and account details.
Use Pots – create and sort money into them, set savings goals, and schedule payments.
Freeze their card if it’s lost or stolen.
Customise their app wallpaper, app icon and profile picture.
Under 16s can’t:
Send money to others.
Open other Monzo accounts, get a loan or overdraft.
Spend at certain blocked merchant categories.
