From today, we are slowly rolling out a new feature called balance in Trends that helps you to plan how you'll use your salary each month. You can see how much money you'll have left to spend once your bills and direct debits come out, so you can pace your spending all the way to your next payday.

Four new things in Trends we’d love for you to try

  1. Click ‘Balance’ at the top of Trends to see the graph

  2. Tap anywhere on the graph to see what you spent or saved on any given day

  3. Scroll to see what you’ve got left to spend this month

  4. Swipe the graph see previous months and years (exclusive to Monzo Plus and Premium)

🏃‍♀️ Pace yourself and know you’re in control

It’s easy to get excited on payday weekend, then feel strapped for cash later on in the month.

Balance in Trends means you can see what you’ll earn, spend and save across the month, so you can pace yourself from one payday to the next.

😊 Feel better about spending knowing bills are covered

You can see your bills and other upcoming payments in the graph. It also calculates what you’ll actually have left after things like bills have gone out.

For example, if today’s balance is £600, but a council tax direct debit of £150 is due next week, balance in Trends will show you have £450 left to spend, rather than £600.

With Monzo Plus and Monzo Premium, you can add your other bank accounts and credit cards, then see upcoming payments across your connected bank accounts in the Monzo app. This means you won’t need to navigate across lots of apps for a view of your finances.

Monzo Plus is £5 per month with a 3-month minimum term and Monzo Premium is £15 per month with  a 6-month minimum term. You need to be 18 or over to get Monzo Plus and be between 18 and 69 to get Monzo Premium. Terms and conditions apply.

🎯 Stay on track with your savings goals

You can see Pots and non-Monzo savings accounts in Trends too, letting you see how your savings are doing against your financial goals.

With Monzo Plus and Monzo Premium, you get access to all graphs, including previous months and years, to see how your savings have grown over longer periods of time.
