How the Salary-In Incentive works
To qualify for the Salary-In Incentive, you must be invited to participate and meet the eligibility criteria below.
You can only receive a reward if:
We’ve invited you to take part in this incentive (we’ll let you know via email, push notification and/or the Monzo app);
You are a UK resident aged 18 or over and hold a Monzo UK Current Account; and
You meet the eligibility criteria we set out below;
If all of the above apply to you, you will receive a reward of £50. You will automatically receive your reward within 1 day of meeting the above criteria.
You can only receive one reward under this incentive for its entire duration. The start and end dates of this incentive are specific to you. You can find them in your Monzo app, under ‘Salary’.
Eligibility Criteria
You must receive a salary payment between £300 and £20,000 per month, paid to you by a business, employer or payroll provider, via Bacs or Faster Payments, into your Monzo Current Account.
We determine whether a payment is a salary using a range of factors, including the information included with the payment, and the amount and frequency of payments over time.
We won’t treat payments as a qualifying salary if they don’t meet the above requirements and / or they appear to be:
made by CHAPS,
transfers between your own accounts,
payments from friends or family,
one-off gifts,
payments made for other purposes (for example rent, refunds, loans, or reimbursements), or
transfers from:
Department for Work and Pensions (other than DWP Payroll, PIP and DLA payments)
Child Benefit
Social Security Scotland (other than APD and CDP Payments)
HMRC (other than HMRC Payroll)
Child Maintenance
DWP Universal Credit
NS&I
The National Lottery (other than The National Lottery Payroll)
Postcode Lottery
Deposit Protection Service
We reserve the right to ask for proof of employment (such as a recent payslip or employment contract) to verify that a payment is a genuine salary.
Our decision on whether a payment qualifies as a salary payment is final.
Limited time offers
We may run limited time offers where you can earn a different reward. If this applies, we’ll let you know how it works and how long it’s running for by email or in-app messages. The remainder of these T&Cs apply to limited time offers.
The small print (in normal size)
If you take part in our Salary-In Incentive, we assume you’ve read and agree to these terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to verify eligibility before payment and to withdraw or change this incentive or these terms at any time.
If you breach these terms or any other Monzo terms & conditions, are suspected of or have acted in a way which is fraudulent, abusive or suspicious, or are using this incentive in a way which we did not intend you to, we can stop you from benefiting from this incentive and future incentives or reverse a payment we’ve already made.
We’ll collect, store and process the data for everyone who takes part in the incentive in line with our Privacy Notice.
English law applies to this incentive. Anyone who enters it submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
