How do I change between Simpler and Detailed tax categories for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax?
Monzo Business sole trader customers can change the type of tax categories that they report to HMRC when using Monzo’s submission tool for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
Only the Admin on the account can change which type of categories is used in the tool.
The Admin can only change the category type for each business once every quarter.
To make this change please follow these steps:
Head to the Making Tax Digital section of the Monzo app.
Scroll down and tap on Settings.
Next, tap on Change next to Expense reporting
Read the screens carefully and follow the steps in the app to change your category type.
