It involves rounding up your spending to the nearest pound and putting the spare change aside in a Pot. And you can do it all automatically with your Monzo account.
It's a great way to save 'little and often', and you'll be surprised at how quickly it can add up!
In fact, more than 800,000 people are saving their spare change with Monzo. And in 2019 they saved a total of £61 million!
How to start the Spare Change Saving Challenge with Monzo
You can take on the Spare Change Saving Challenge with your Monzo account.
Make a new Pot (or edit an existing one)
Turn on the switch to 'Round up transactions'
Lock your Pot until 31st December 2020 (or pick a different date depending on what you're saving for)
Every time you spend, we'll round it up to the nearest pound and put the pennies in your Pot.
Locking your Pot is optional. But it can help you stick to the challenge by making it harder to dip in!
