How to get a Monzo account

You’ve decided to open a Monzo account! We can't wait for you to join us 😄

And the good news is that signing up is simple.

To open a Monzo account you need to be at least 16 years old and live in the UK.

You’ll also need your phone and a valid ID. We accept your:

  • Passport

  • Driving licence (your provisional is fine)

  • National ID card

  • Biometric residency permit 

  • Firearm or shotgun certificate

  • Electoral Identity Card issued by the Electoral Office for Northern Ireland 

And we'll ask you for an address in the UK where we can send your card.

Step 2: Follow the instructions to sign up

We'll walk you through everything, and put your hot coral debit card in the post. That’s it!

Once it arrives, you'll be ready to use Monzo to spend, budget and manage your money.
