What are payment links?
How do I use a payment link sent to me by a Monzo Business account?
Tap the payment link to see what the business is asking you for, and to pay online.
You can pay by easy bank transfer or, if the business accepts it, by card. That includes Apple Pay or Google Pay. Or you can do a bank transfer yourself.
How to pay by easy bank transfer
Choose ‘easy bank transfers’ on the left-hand side
Tap ‘Pay by easy bank transfer’
Next, we’ll ask you to choose the bank you want to use to make the payment, then direct you to their website or app. After you log in, you’ll be asked to confirm the transfer to the business’ bank account.
All the information about the business (the amount and their bank details) will already be filled in. So you won’t have to remember their details.
To pay by card
Choose ‘Pay by card’ on the left-hand side
Tap ‘Pay by card’
Type in your card details, just as you would when you buy something online. You can also tap the Apple Pay or Google Pay logo to pay this way if you’d prefer. (You might see a company called Stripe mentioned – we’ve teamed up with them to process card payments for our customers.)
Give us your email address when we ask so we can send you a confirmation (or let you know if there are any problems with your payment).
Just so you know, we don’t offer any guarantees, insurances or other forms of protection for payments you make using these links. If you think you’ve been charged wrongly, or you have other problems, you’ll need to contact the business you made the payment to, or your bank or card issuer.
