Monzo Perks, Max and Max Family: Information about our plan price changes
We are increasing the monthly price of our Monzo Perks, Max, and Max Family plans. The date the new price takes effect depends on whether you’re signing up as a new customer, or you’re already an existing customer.
Here’s the updated pricing:
Monzo Perks: £7 ➡️ £9 per month
Monzo Max: £17 ➡️ £19 per month
Monzo Max Family: £22 ➡️ £23 per month
When does the new price take effect?
For new customers: If you sign up for a plan on or after 13 August 2026, the new price applies straight away.
For existing customers: If you signed up before 13 August 2026, the updated price will apply to your account on your first regular monthly billing date on or after 14 October 2026. For example, if your plan renews on the 10th of every month, your 10th October renewal will be at the old rate, and your first payment at the new price will be on 10th November.
Why are the prices changing?
When we launched Perks in April 2024, it included a weekly Greggs treat, an annual Railcard, and boosted savings rates. Max also included worldwide travel insurance, phone insurance, and UK and Europe breakdown cover.
The partner perks in both plans are now worth over £300 a year. Since launching, we've added:
Annual Uber One membership, so you can save on Uber and Uber Eats
Monthly cinema ticket at Vue, plus 10% off food and non-alcoholic drinks
Billsback – we've refunded 10,000+ bills for our subscribers
The Saving Challenge with new levels and 5.00% AER
Lower Investments platform fee extended to Monzo Pension
Google Sheets export – now includes Pot transactions and Pot names
To keep offering all of this, we're increasing the monthly price.
We’ve also added YouTube Premium Lite membership to Perks and Max (usually worth £7.99 a month). Learn more here
Existing customers: Switching or cancelling your plan
If you want to switch or cancel your plan before the new pricing takes effect, you can do this directly in the app. To support you during this change, we’ve updated our standard cancellation rules until the end of the day on 13 October 2026:
Minimum terms are waived: Max and Max Family plans normally have a 3-month minimum term where cancellations and downgrades are not allowed. We’ve waived this term, so you can cancel or downgrade in the app even if you’re within your first 3 months.
Immediate cancellations & refunds: Normally, cancelling a Perks or Max plan happens at the end of your billing cycle. During this time, all plan cancellations will happen immediately, and we’ll issue a refund for the remaining days left in your billing month.
No card replacement fees: If you cancel your plan entirely during your 14-day cooling-off period, we’re waiving the standard £5 card fee (even if you’ve already ordered your physical Perks or Max card).
Please note: If you’ve redeemed a Railcard through your Perks or Max plan, you'll need to pay a fee to keep your Railcard. We explain this in our Perks, Max, and Max Family Terms & Conditions.
