How should I choose a fund for my Investment Pot?
Before you choose a fund, think about how investing fits into your financial goals and how comfortable you are with risk.
We offer a selection of ready-made funds and themed or geographic ETFs like clean energy or British companies.
With ready-made funds you can choose the level of risk that feels right - they’re a mix of shares, bonds, and other investments.
If you’d rather build your own portfolio, you can choose from a selection of specialist funds that focus on specific themes, industries or markets. Each one is an ETF (Exchange Traded Fund), which is a ready-made basket of investments, usually shares and bonds, that you can buy in one purchase.
Choosing the funds that work for you
You can also find more information about each fund by heading to the Investments tab in the app. Tap on each fund to find out more about it, and decide which one is right for you - we don’t offer advice, so we can’t tell you which fund to choose.
Remember, the value of your investment can go up or down while it’s invested. A higher risk rating means the value of the fund is more likely to see bigger ups and downs.
It’s a good idea to do your own research and make sure any fund you invest in suits your goals. Investing over the long-term gives your money more chance to grow but you should also think about how long you can leave your money invested.
