Reporting fraud

Don’t recognise a payment? Follow these 5 steps to protect your account.

1. Freeze your card to stop anyone using it

  • Tap the Home icon in the menu bar

  • Tap Card on your card

  • Tap Freeze card

You can defrost your card at any time.

2. Check the payment details

Do you recognise the:

  • amount

  • merchant

  • location

  • date

  • time

3. Check if it could be a subscription

  • It’s worth checking if the payment’s part of a monthly or yearly subscription for something you’ve signed up to.

4. Check if someone you know made the payment

  • Have you recently given your card details to friends or family?

5. Report fraud

Keep in mind, card fraud isn't:

  • billing issues

  • damaged goods

  • cancelled or unintentional subscriptions

  • being treated unfairly by a company

In those cases, you should try and sort the problem with the merchant. If they can’t do anything to help, you can raise a dispute with us in your app.
