How to earn interest
To earn interest with Monzo - all you need to do is create a Savings Jar and add money to it! All money held in Savings Jars is eligible to earn interest as long as you’ve agreed to our Savings terms.
If you don’t already have a Savings Jar, you can create one directly from the home page of your Monzo app. There, you’ll be walked through all the steps of making the Jar and you’ll have the option to start earning interest.
If you do already have a Savings Jar, you can just tap on that Jar and you should see an option to start earning interest (if you aren’t already) 🪙
Everyone on Monzo earns a very competitive savings rate, higher than the the national average - without any extra hoops or hidden limits 💸 If you subscribe to Monzo Pro - you can earn an even higher rate.
