Sending Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) payments
This guide is to help you with sending IDR payments. It has all the information you need to know, including when you can usually expect it to arrive and what you can do if it doesn’t.
Can I send IDR payments to a business?
✅ Yes, you can send IDR payments to an individual or a business.
Is the name I use on a payment checked?
✅ Yes. It’s really important that you use the correct account number. If the incorrect account number is used and it belongs to someone else, the payment will likely be returned.
What details do I need to use?
If you’re sending via Local bank account
Recipient type (Person/Business)
Full recipient name (up to 35 characters, A-Z only)
Bank name
Account number (7 to 18 digits, IDR accounts only)
Recipient country
Reference (optional, up to 35 characters)
If you’re sending via E-wallet
Recipient type (Person/Business)
Full recipient name (up to 35 characters, A-Z only)
Wallet provider (GoPay/OVO/DANA/LinkAja/ShopeePay)
Recipient’s phone number (starting with +62)
Recipient country
Reference (optional, up to 35 characters)
How much money can I send?
If you’re sending via E-wallet You can send up to Rp10,000 per transfer.
If you’re sending via Local bank account You can send up to Rp490,000,000 per transfer.
How long will my payment take?
Most payments arrive within seconds, and nearly all arrive within 12 hours.
In some cases, because of bank holidays or if there are any extra checks on the payment it can take up to 2 working days.
You can see how long we expect your payment to take before you send it in the app, and after you’ve sent it by tapping it in your feed.
How will my payment be sent?
We’ll send your payment as a local bank transfer through the Bank Indonesia Fast Payment (BI-FAST), Sistem Kliring Nasional Bank Indonesia (SKNBI), Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) networks or a direct E-wallet link with partner banks in Indonesia, depending on what you tap when setting up the payee.
If the recipient bank doesn’t accept BI-FAST payments, we’ll send it through SKNBI.
If your payment is over Rp250,000,000, we’ll send it through RTGS.
If your payment is over Rp10,000,000 and you selected E-wallet, it will fail and be returned.
When do I have to make a payment for it to be sent out on the same day?
If you’re sending via Local bank account Payments must be made before 06:00 GMT to go out on the same day.
If you’re sending via E-wallet There is no cut off time. Any payment you make will go out on the same day you send it.
Can I recall a payment I made by mistake?
❌ No. You can’t recall an IDR payment you’ve made by mistake under any circumstances.
