Sending Danish Krone (DKK) payments
This guide is to help you with sending DKK payments. It has all the information you need to know, including when you can usually expect it to arrive and what you can do if it doesn’t.
Can I send DKK payments to a business?
✅ Yes, you can send DKK payments to an individual or a business.
Is the name I use on a payment checked?
❌ No. As there are no name checks, it's really important that you use the correct account number. If the incorrect account number is used and it belongs to someone else, the payment will still go through.
What details do I need to use?
Recipient type (Person/Business)
Full recipient name
IBAN (18 characters)
Recipient country
Reference (optional, up to 140 characters)
How much money can I send?
You can send up to 1,000,000,000kr per transfer.
How long will my payment take?
Most payments arrive within 6 hours, and nearly all arrive within 1 working day.
In some cases, because of bank holidays or if there are any extra checks on the payment it can take up to 3 working days.
You can see how long we expect your payment to take before you send it in the app, and after you’ve sent it by tapping it in your feed.
How will my payment be sent?
We’ll send your payment as a local bank transfer through either the TARGET Instant Payment Settlement (TIPS) network, the TARGET2 network or as a SWIFT payment with partner banks in Denmark.
If your payment is over 500,000kr, we'll send through TARGET2.
If the recipient bank doesn't accept payments through TIPS or TARGET2, we'll send through SWIFT.
When do I have to make a payment for it to be sent out on the same day?
Payments must be made before 05:00 GMT to go out on the same day.
Can I recall a payment I made by mistake?
✅ Yes, if you’ve used the wrong name/account number or if you think it’s fraud. Let us know right away so we can help.
