Contactless doesn't work

You need to activate your Monzo card in the app. It's rare, but sometimes contactless doesn't activate.

If your contactless isn’t working:

  1. Check you’ve activated your card.

  2. Try popping your card in the card machine and putting in your PIN. That should let you do contactless next time you pay.

If it’s still not working, you can order a new card. Here’s how:

  • Tap 'Home'

  • Tap ‘Card’ on the account you need a new card for

  • Scroll down to 'Replacement' and tap 'Order new card'

  • Follow the instructions, and a new card will be on its way! 

If your card is damaged or isn’t working when you get it, we'll cover the cost of the replacement.
