Signing up for a Business Account on the web

You can start your application to open a business account on the web by heading over to this webpage

First we'll ask for your email address and send you an email with a magic link, you'll need to open the email and click the link to progress. If you already have a Monzo personal account, you’ll need to use the same email address because we don't support different emails for your personal and business account.

Once you've got your email and clicked the link we'll ask for your full name, date of birth and UK home address (but you won't need to do this if you already have a Monzo personal account).

Make sure you've got proof of your business address, your registered company number or name (if you’re a limited company), and a unique tax reference number ready. That way, you won’t have to pause mid-application to search for them.

Note: If you're a limited company with other persons of significant control (sometimes known as beneficial owners), then we might need to ask to verify their identity too. You can read more about this on our webpage.

Once you’ve shared these details and a little bit more information about the business, a QR code will appear for you to scan and you'll need to finish your application by downloading the app on your phone.

After you’ve downloaded the app, select 'I already have a Monzo account' and login using the same email address and complete your application by verifying your identity with a quick selfie video.
