Getting a bank statement

The type of bank statement you need depends on what you need it for.

For your records

You can find and download your statements in the Monzo app. The file includes pot statements, in the section after your main account statement.

  1. Tap the Home icon in the menu bar
  2. Tap Manage to the right of your transaction feed
  3. Tap Bank statements
  4. Select the date range you'd like
  5. Select the format you'd like the document in (PDF, CSV, QIF)

For mortgage applications

All of our bank statements generated in app are original documents, and you shouldn't need to get them stamped or signed for a mortgage or visa application. However, if you need a statement in the post, or your original document hasn't been accepted and you'd like a stamped and signed copy, please chat to us in the app.

  1. Tap the Help icon in the menu bar
  2. Search ‘getting a bank statement’
  3. Tap chat to us under the header 'For mortgage applications'

Getting full transaction history for closed Monzo accounts

Once your account is closed, we’ll email you to confirm and attach a statement showing your full payment transaction history. This document will be password protected, and we’ll also send you the password to open it in a text message.

If we can't send your statement by email we'll send it via Royal Mail to the registered address on the account instead.

You can also ask for a copy of your full payment transaction history with Monzo, which we'll give you in the form of bank statements. This is available for up to 6 years after the account is closed.
