1p Saving Challenge

The 1p Saving Challenge is an exclusive feature for Monzo Extra, Perks, Max and Max + family customers.

The app does it all for you. We'll move 1p from your personal account to your Challenge Pot on day one of your challenge. Then 2p on day two, 3p on day three, and so on. On day 30, you'll have £4.65. Halfway through, you'll have £168.36.

Make it to day 365 of your challenge and you'll have saved £667.95 plus interest.

Your challenge will last for 365 days from the day you save your first penny. You can start a challenge anytime.

Pause your daily savings and catch up later by adding money for missed days. You can also end the challenge anytime.

Take money out of your Challenge Pot anytime and add it back later.

We’ll pay the interest into your Challenge Pot on the 1st of every month, as long as it’s 1p or more. That means that depending on when you've joined the challenge, you might need to wait until the following month to get paid interest. The rate is variable, which means that we can change it. At the end of your challenge, you can keep saving, invest or move it to your personal account.
