Why is my current pension provider asking me questions about my transfer?
When you ask to transfer your pension to a new provider, your current provider may need to do some extra checks on the provider you’re transferring to, to make sure your pension will be safe, in line with laws on pension transfers.
Your current provider may also send you letters and emails asking for more information and to let you know what’s happening. Don’t worry, this is normal when transferring a pension.
If you've been contacted unexpectedly about opportunities to transfer or invest your pension, there’s a risk that you may fall victim to a pension scam. We’ll never contact you unexpectedly about moving your pension and will always contact you through the app.
