Flexible repair or replacement options that fit your schedule

Collect and repair

Get your damaged phone picked up directly from your doorstep and taken for repair. You’ll need to pay a £50 fee on top of the £75 excess for a successful claim.

Same day replacement

If your lost or stolen phone claim is approved by 1pm, you may be able to get a refurbished replacement the same day. You’ll need to pay a £50 fee on top of the £75 excess for a successful claim.

DPD drop off at 3,000 locations

Drop your phone off at one of 3,000 DPD points across the UK for free. You’ll need to pay the £75 excess for a successful claim.

Alternative options

Mail-in your damaged device or visit a local Pocket Geek store, where available. You’ll need to pay the £75 excess for a successful claim.

What Assurant mean by ‘family’

When we say ‘family member’ we mean your partner or spouse living permanently at the same address, or a dependent child. A dependent child is one who is under the age of 20 or under 22 if in full-time education.

You can submit a claim through Assurant’s online web portal in several steps, or over the phone. You can also find your policy details in the Monzo app.

  • Any incident where you have knowingly put your mobile phone at risk or not taken care of it. See the ‘What you are NOT covered for’ section of the Policy Document for examples.
  • The mobile phone must be owned by the account holder
  • You can make up to 2 successful claims per account holder in any 12 month period and up to 4 claims for you or your family members in any 12 month period if on Monzo Max with Family add-on.

Is Monzo Max a bank account with mobile phone insurance?

Monzo Max is an upgrade to your current account, with mobile phone insurance provided by Assurant, plus travel and breakdown cover for just one monthly fee of £17. You can also add your family for £22 a month.

What does the mobile phone insurance cover?

What’s the difference between Monzo Max and other bank accounts with mobile insurance?

How do I make an insurance claim?
