The link sent to log into your account isn’t working or never arrived
Magic links give you a secure way of accessing your Monzo account without entering a password.
Didn’t get an email
If you've requested a login link but haven't received an email, there are a few things to check.
Wait a few minutes. The email is usually fast, but it can sometimes take a few minutes to arrive.
Check your spam folder. Be sure to check your spam or junk folders to see if the email was sent there.
Check storage. Be sure to check that your mailbox isn’t full. This will block new emails.
Check internet connection. Make sure other apps are loading or try turning wifi off and on again.
Double check your email address. Make sure you entered the correct email address and that you're checking the right inbox.
Change app or browser. If you're using your phone's default email app, try accessing your email through a web browser like Chrome or Safari instead.
Link not working
There's a few quick fixes for when a login link doesn't seem to work. We'd suggest:
Deleting all the log in emails you've received from Monzo in the past, and requesting a new one. If you tap the Send magic link button several times, you could be trying to log in with an expired link.
Try accessing your email a different way. For example, if you're trying to tap the link using your phone's Mail app, try using a web browser like Chrome or Safari instead.
If you're running iOS 18 or later and have hidden your Monzo app, you'll need to unhide it and then try again. Or if you're using Android 15 or newer and have the Monzo app in a private space, make sure your email and browser apps are also in the same space. Then try again.
If you still don't see the email after trying these steps, you can email us at help@monzo.com and we'll look into it for you. Please include:
Your full name
Your email address and phone number registered on the account
Your 8 digit account number
A photo of yourself, holding up your photo ID or holding up a piece of paper with today’s date on it. We need to see both your face and your ID or piece of paper in the same image
