A bank transfer I sent hasn't arrived
When you send a payment, the money should arrive in seconds. If the receiving bank need to perform additional checks, it can take up to one working day for them to put the money in the account.
If a payment's taking longer than expected, check that the recipient gave you the correct account number and sort code, and that you entered them correctly.
If the details are wrong, you may have accidentally paid the wrong person. In this case, we can try to recover the money by raising what is called a Credit Payment Recovery (CPR).
If you think you've sent money to the wrong account due to a scam, rather than a mistake, we need to follow a different process. Please get in touch with us if you think you've been a victim of a scam.
If the details are correct, but the payment still hasn't appeared in the recipient's account after a day, tap Something wrong? Get help and share the tracking reference (called an FPS ID or FPID) with the person you sent the money to. They can check with their bank using this reference.
If you're still having trouble, please get in touch and we'll investigate this for you.
