Paying bills from Pots
You can pay bills (like Direct Debits and standing orders) directly from one of your Regular Pots, keeping that money separate from your main spending balance.
How to set up bill payments from a Pot
Go to your Home screen.
Scroll to Pots and tap the Pot you want to pay bills from.
Tap Set up or Edit next to Scheduled payments.
Select which Direct Debits or standing orders you would like to pay from this Pot.
When your bill is due, the money will automatically move from your Bills Pot into your main account to cover the payment.
If your Pot runs low: If there is not enough money in your Bills Pot, we will use whatever funds are left in the Pot and cover the remainder from your main account (and overdraft, if you have one enabled).
Pay online subscriptions with Virtual Cards If you have a Monzo Extra, Perks, Max, Plus, or Premium plan, you can also link Virtual Cards to a Regular Pot to pay for online subscriptions and recurring card payments directly from your Pot balance.
To set up a Virtual Card for a Pot:
Tap the Pot you want to pay subscriptions from.
Scroll down and tap Add new card next to Virtual card.
Choose a card name and color, then tap to create it.
Update your subscription's payment details on the merchant's app or website using your new Virtual Card details.
Any payments made using a Virtual Card connected to a Pot will be taken directly from that Pot's balance.
