Sending International Payments from a Business Account
How to send international payments from a business account
You can send international transfers in your Monzo app, but sometimes you might need a Wise account.
To send an international payment in the app:
Tap the Payments icon in the menu bar
Tap Pay someone
Tap Transfer internationally
If you’re trying to send a payment in any of the following currencies, you won’t need to have or set up a Wise account.
EUR (Euros)
USD (United States Dollars)
INR (Indian Rupees)
AUD (Australian Dollars)
RON (Romanian Lev)
If you’re sending the payment through Wise you’ll need to give us permission to use your Wise account. If you don’t have one of these, we’ll create one for you when you send the money.
You need to be 18 or over to send international payments.

If you’re a limited company
We might need to ask you for more information on your company’s directors, officers or beneficial owners. A company director on the account must give us this.
After they’ve done that, anyone with access to the business account can transfer money internationally.
If you’re a sole trader
Only the person who’s the account admin can set up international payments with Wise. Once that’s done, anyone with access to the business account can transfer money internationally.
