Cancelling Monzo Premium

You can cancel Monzo Premium in the app at any time by clicking here. You may have to pay a cancellation fee depending on how long you've had Monzo Premium for.

If you cancel, you'll lose all your Premium benefits, like your interest, custom categories, connected banks and more. You'll no longer be covered by your phone or travel insurance from the time you cancel.

Your virtual cards will stop working, so you'll need to update the payment details on any online subscriptions you have linked to a virtual card. You'll also need to order a Hot Coral card to replace your Monzo Premium metal card.

To cancel, go to your Premium tab in the app, tap "settings" at the bottom of the screen. You should then see an option to cancel.

Cancelling within the 14 day cooling off period

If you ordered a metal card, there is a £50 cancellation fee if you cancel within the 14 day cooling off period. If you didn't order a metal card, there will be no fee when you cancel. We’ll also refund your first monthly fee payment.

Cancelling within the 6 month minimum term

If you ordered a metal card, there is a £50 cancellation fee if you cancel within the 6 month minimum term. If you didn't order a metal card, there will be no fee when you cancel. We’ll refund you for any remaining days in the month you cancel.

Cancelling outside the minimum term

After 6 months all cancellations are free. We’ll refund you for any remaining days in the month you cancel.

Heads up: We've stopped selling Premium. You can keep it and continue using your benefits. But if you cancel (even by accident) or move to a new plan, you won't be able to sign back up to Premium.
