Warnings when making a payment

When you make a payment with Monzo, we use the details you enter to assess if it’s a risky payment. We’ll warn you if we think it could be a scam.

After receiving a warning, it's up to you if you still want to proceed with the payment. But if it's a scam, it might not be possible to get your money back. Here are some useful tips on how to spot a scam.
