General conditions

These are some of the conditions you need to meet for the cover to apply. For the full list, please read the terms and conditions.

  • This is personal cover and you are covered in any valid vehicle as a passenger or driver.

  • You can benefit from at home, roadside and recovery services as soon as you sign up to Max. For continental Europe and onward travel claims, you need to have had Max for 24 hours.

  • On continental Europe, you can make 2 claims in each 12 month period.

  • If you fail to contact the RAC within 24 hours of the European breakdown, they may not be able to help you. For example, if you delay calling them, it could mean there isn’t time to repair your vehicle before your planned departure. In that case, we won’t get your vehicle home or reimburse you for garage support.
