An invoice is a request for payment sent after goods or services have been delivered.

A quote is a formal estimate of price for goods or services before work begins.

A purchase order is a formal order placed by the buyer to the supplier, confirming their intention to purchase.

How They Work Together in a Workflow:

  • Quote → Requested by the buyer
  • Purchase Order → Sent by buyer to confirm order
  • Invoice → Sent by seller after delivery for payment

Quotes are also available with a Pro and Team Monzo Business Account starting from £9.
