Your expiring Monzo card

This article is for customers whose card is approaching its expiration date.

Why Cards Expire:

Cards expire to protect against fraud, process security updates, and to make sure your card stays in good working condition. Just so you know, only your physical card and its number expire. Your account details don’t change.

The Replacement Process:

About 2-3 months before your card expires, we’ll get in touch in the app and by email to ask you to confirm your delivery address. If we don't hear from you, we’ll automatically order a new card to the address we have on file about one month before expiry. This replacement is completely free.

What to Expect:

Your expiring card will continue to work until the very last day of the expiry month. New cards are usually delivered before the old one expires. You can check the delivery status of your new card at the bottom of the Card tab in the app.
