Receiving money with Monzo
You can receive money instantly from another Monzo user or by bank transfer.
From another Monzo user
Go to Payments.
Tap Request money.
Select a contact.
Enter the amount and tap Submit.
Payments arrive instantly once sent.
By bank transfer (IBAN)
Share your IBAN so someone can send money from another bank.
To find it:
Go to Home.
Tap Account details.
Bank transfers usually arrive the same or next banking day. If it’s been more than one banking day, contact us and we’ll check it for you.
Request money by QR code or link
Go to Payments.
Tap Request money.
Select By QR code or link.
Enter the amount.
If sharing via QR code, your friend can scan it directly from your screen.
If sharing via link, tap Share link instead and send it through your preferred messaging app.
The money moves once the other person completes the payment.
