Payment security
You can set up added security to make large bank transfers or withdrawals from a Savings Pot more secure. You must opt in and set up at least two of these three controls:
Known locations: Set up to 5 locations where you can make large payments.
Trusted contacts: Choose a trusted Monzo user to double-check a transaction.
Secret QR codes: We will email you a high-security QR code to print and scan.
If you can't use any of these, you can still pass an identity check by recording a short video of yourself. On joint accounts, your security controls only apply to you, so your joint account partner will need to set it up too.
To find these settings:
Tap your profile in the Monzo app.
Select Settings.
Choose Privacy & Security.
Tap Added Security.
