Changing your name
We can help you update your preferred name, your legal name, or both at the same time. How we do this depends on the type of change you need to make.
Changing Your Preferred Name: Your preferred name is the name you would like to be called and the name that appears in your Monzo app. To change this, you won't need to provide us with any ID.
Changing Your Legal Name: If you're changing your legal name, we'll need to see a form of identification. This can be a valid photo ID with your new name on it, such as a passport or driving licence, or a document that legally proves your name change, such as a marriage certificate or deed poll.
