Our industry-first call status tool lets you confirm you're really on the phone to us.
How to check:
Head to the Home screen in your app.
The Monzo Call Status will show if we're on the phone to you or not.
You can always trust the call status:
If the app says we aren't talking to you, hang up right away and report it to us by tapping the call status.
We will never call you without arranging it with you first through in-app chat.
If the person you're talking to tries to tell you there's a technical issue or another reason why the call status isn't working, hang up and report the attempted fraud to us through the app. The call status doesn't lie.
Scam prevention reminder: Remember, we'll never ask you to send money to a holding account, withdraw money from a Pot, or give us your PIN. If someone claims to be from Monzo and asks you to do this, it's a scam.
