Proof of address for address updates

If we can’t validate your new address automatically, we may ask for proof of address.

For example, we may ask if:

  • the app can’t find your address

  • we’re changing the delivery address for your first card

  • we need to check the address before updating it

For Spain, this means evidence that you have a valid link to the Spanish address you’ve given us.

Your proof of address must show:

  • your name

  • the Spanish address you’ve given us

For first card address changes, your document usually needs to be dated within the last 3 months. Some documents may not show a recent date, and that’s okay if the document type does not normally include one.

The document can be:

  • DNI or TIE, if it shows your address

  • Padrón certificate

  • utility bill

  • tax notice

  • rent receipt

  • rental agreement

  • title deed or property deed

  • another official document that clearly shows your name and Spanish address

We’ll only ask for documents when we need them to safely update your address.

Once everything’s checked, we’ll update your details and, if needed, send a replacement card to the new address.
