All about virtual cards
Virtual cards are extra digital cards you can link to a Pot or your main account. They're a helpful tool for managing your spending and keeping your finances secure. You can use a virtual card to pay from a specific Pot or use separate card details for online shopping to protect your main account.
You can create virtual cards for your personal or joint accounts, and virtual cards are also available to Monzo Business Pro or Team customers.
How to Create a Virtual Card
Open your Monzo app and navigate to the "Home" screen.
Tap on the "Virtual cards" option.
Select "Create virtual card"
Then, you'll choose whether to link your virtual card to your main balance or a Pot.
You can use a virtual card for online purchases as soon as you’ve created one. Add the card to your digital wallet immediately from the creation screen, or do it later:
In your Monzo app, scroll down and tap on your virtual card.
Select Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet.
