What’s Monzo’s cashback offer in Ireland?

Who can get 5% cashback?
New customers who finish opening a Monzo personal account in Ireland during the offer period (1 November 2026 - 31 December 2026) will get cashback automatically – there’s no need to activate it.
Already have a Monzo account? Refer a friend during the offer period to earn cashback too. Your friend needs to join through your link and make a card payment within 30 days (and before 31 December 2026). This offer only applies to personal accounts.
When does the cashback offer run?
Join Monzo or complete a successful referral between 1 November 2026 and 31 December 2026 to start earning cashback.
You’ll have 60 days to earn cashback, starting from when you finish opening your account. For referrals, your 60 days start when your friend joins Monzo and makes their first transaction. Your friend will need to make their first transaction within 30 days of joining Monzo (and before 31 December 2026). So if your cashback begins in December, you can keep earning cashback after December ends.
When will I get my cashback?
We’ll add the cashback you earn to your cashback balance, which is separate from your current account balance, once the shop or business collects your payment. It won’t appear while your payment is still pending. You can withdraw your available cashback balance whenever you want.
At the end of the 60 days, we’ll automatically move any cashback left in your cashback balance to your Monzo Current Account.
