Receiving money with an Under 18s payment link

Your child's payment link is a simple way for family and friends to send money to their Under 18s account.

How your child receives money

  1. Open your child's Under 18s account.

  2. Tap the three dots on their card.

  3. Tap Share payment link and share it with family and friends.

Anyone with the link can pay using a debit card — they don't need Monzo. The sender can add a nickname and note, and you'll be notified and can see all the details in your Monzo app.

How much can be received

  • Your child can receive up to €250 through payment links in any rolling 30-day period.

  • People without Monzo can send up to €100 in one payment.

  • Monzo customers can send up to €250 in one payment. This uses the full €250 limit, so no more can be received through payment links until 30 days have passed.

No IBAN yet

Under 18s accounts don't have an IBAN, so they can't receive bank transfers. Payment links are the way for family and friends to send money.
