What to do if a Monzo account holder dies

Start by letting us know

The simplest way to get started is by emailing us at __es.ayuda@monzo.com.__

What we’ll need

When you contact us, share as much as possible of the following:

  • Full name, email, and phone number on the account

  • IBAN

  • A clear photo of the death certificate

Closing the account

We’ll always need an indemnity form if the account balance is above €100. The form should be filled out by the next of kin or a legal representative.

If there are funeral costs to be paid, let us know when you contact us and we’ll explain what options may be available.
