Missing "give & get" referral reward

If you've referred someone and were offered a referral reward in the app, but it hasn’t come through yet, don’t worry — it usually means something is still in progress.

Here are a few things to check:

  • Your friend used your referral link

  • They entered their phone number when starting

  • They signed up using the same phone number

  • They opened a Monzo Personal account

Timing

  • The 30-day window starts when your friend enters their phone number

  • They need to open their account and make a qualifying payment within those 30 days

Qualifying payment

  • Physical card, Apple Pay, Google Wallet and virtual card payments can count

  • ATM withdrawals, transfers, declined payments, reversed payments and refunded payments do not count

Eligibility

  • Your friend needs to be completely new to Monzo

  • They can’t have had an account or applied before

  • The person who referred them must be within their monthly and lifetime referral reward limits
