Bank holiday delays

During bank holidays some services might be delayed.

Direct Debits

Direct Debits don't happen on bank holidays (or weekends) so merchants won't take money from your account on those days via Direct Debit. If you set up a new Direct Debit it'll also take longer to appear in the app, but cancelling one will still be instant.

Card orders

We don't send out card orders during bank holidays. If your card order is already on the way, it's also possible it might be delayed by Royal Mail.

Savings Pot Withdrawals

Withdrawals from Easy Access Savings Pots and Easy Access Cash ISAs aren't processes on bank holidays. If you make a withdrawal from one of these Savings Pots the money will arrive in your account by 5 pm on the next working day.

Cheques

We don't process cheques during bank holidays either, but you can still send them to us or upload them in the app

Everything else

Card payments, Faster Payments (bank transfers), standing orders, Monzo-to-Monzo payments, and withdrawals from Instant Access Savings Pots should work as usual.
