Business banking: changing your plan

You can change your Monzo Business plan in the app at any time. Only account Admins can upgrade or downgrade a plan.

How plan changes work

You can move between Business Lite, Business Pro, and Business Team whenever you like. When you change your plan:

  • your monthly fee may change

  • the features available on the account may change

  • the number of people who can access the account may change

Upgrading

If you upgrade to a paid plan, the new monthly fee starts from the day you upgrade.

Downgrading

If you downgrade to a cheaper plan, any unused time on your previous plan is automatically refunded. Refunds are calculated based on unused days.

Missed payments

If a Pro or Team plan fee isn’t paid, we’ll try to collect it again. If the fee still isn’t paid after 27 days, the account is automatically downgraded to the free Business Lite plan.

How to change your plan

  1. Open your business account in the Monzo app

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Tap Business plan

  4. Choose the plan you want

If you’re downgrading, you may need to remove team members first if the new plan has lower limits.

Changing your plan doesn’t affect who owns the account or who’s responsible for it.
