Business banking: account limits

Monzo Business accounts have limits on how much money can be spent or sent over a set period of time. These limits help manage risk and protect your account.

Depending on what’s available on your account, you may have limits for things like:

  • card payments

  • bank transfers

  • payments to other Monzo customers

Some limits are daily. Others roll over 30 days. Not all businesses have the same limits.

How to see your limits

  1. Open your business account in the Monzo app

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Tap Limits and allowances

You’ll see the type of limit, the maximum amount, how much you’ve used, and how much is left.

Rolling limits Rolling limits don’t reset all at once. Each payment uses part of the limit for 30 days. After 30 days, that amount becomes available again.

Asking to increase a limit You can request a higher limit in the app. We review every request, and we can’t change limits in chat or guarantee an increase will be approved.
