Apple Pay card activation issues

Mastercard are currently experiencing a few issues with activating some cards for Apple Pay that are beyond our control. Their engineers are looking into this, but unfortunately we don’t have a timescale for the fix just yet.

In the meantime, please try the following steps which have resolved the issues for some people:

  1. Remove your card from your Apple Wallet completely

  2. Force Close the Monzo app

  3. Open the Monzo app and tap ‘Manage’ to the right of your transaction feed

  4. Tap on Add to Apple Wallet and follow the steps to add your card to Apple Pay
