Understanding e-invoice verification failures
If your e-invoice doesn't meet the requirements set by the relevant tax authority, it may be rejected and need to be corrected before it can be accepted.
Reasons for rejection may include:
missing or incorrect business details, such as a name, address or NIF
missing information about the goods or services provided
required fields being left blank
information that doesn't match the records held by the relevant tax authority
If your business is registered in the Basque Country or Navarre, your invoice may also need to meet additional regional requirements. Businesses in the rest of Spain must comply with the requirements set by the Agencia Tributaria (AEAT).
If your invoice is rejected, review the information shown, correct any errors and submit a new invoice.
To help avoid rejections, make sure your business information, customer details and invoice information are accurate before sending the invoice.
