Monzo Business: Opening an account
We’re gradually rolling out business accounts in Spain. To join the waitlist, click here — we’ll email you when you’ve been invited to sign up.
You can apply in the Monzo app, whether or not you already have a personal Monzo account.
Who can apply
You can apply if you’re:
an autónomo, or
a director or administrator of a sociedad limitada
You’ll also need to:
be based in Spain
be aged 18 or over
apply while physically in Spain
not use a VPN
Your business must be based and operating in Spain, make most of its money from selling goods or services, and operate in a supported industry.
If your business is a sociedad limitada
Your company may need to have active status, match official or third-party records, and have up-to-date director, administrator, shareholder or beneficial owner information.
What we can’t support yet
For Alpha Early Access, we can only support autónomos and sociedades limitadas.
We can’t currently support businesses outside Spain, unsupported industries or business models, or businesses that mainly hold client money, invest, lend, exchange currency, trade crypto, gamble, trade weapons, or operate as shell companies.
Features not available yet
Some features aren’t available during Early Access, including SEPA transfers, payment links, card payment acceptance, Tap to Pay, Bizum, bulk payments, e-invoicing, Norma 43 exports and Instant Access Savings.
How to apply
Download the Monzo app and choose Business account.
If you already have a Monzo account, go to Home → + → Apply for business account.
We’ll check your eligibility during sign-up.
