Understanding your business account limits

Monzo Business accounts have limits on how much money can be spent, added or withdrawn over a set period of time.

These limits help manage risk and protect your account.

During Early Access, some Business Banking features are not available yet. This means some limit types, like transfer limits, may not apply until those features are live.

Depending on what’s available on your account, you may have limits for things like:

  • card payments

  • card top-ups

  • ATM withdrawals

Not all businesses have the same limits.

How to see your limits

  1. Open your business account in the Monzo app.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Tap Limits and allowances.

You’ll see the type of limit, the maximum amount, how much you’ve used, and how much is left.

Rolling limits

Rolling limits don’t reset all at once.

Each payment, top-up or withdrawal uses part of the limit for the rolling period. After that, the amount becomes available again.

Asking to increase a limit

You can request a higher limit in the app when the option is available.

We review every request. We can’t change limits in chat or guarantee an increase will be approved.
