What happens after an account is closed
If we’ve had to close your Personal Account, you’ll no longer be able to use it to receive or send money. You’ll need to redirect all your income or Direct Debits to a new account.
Pots and features: You’ll lose access to features like Pots or “Trends”.
Pending money: We’ll use the balance in your account, including Pots, to pay off any outstanding overdraft you may have. You’ll still need to repay any remaining overdraft balance.
New account: At the moment, we can’t reopen your account or offer you a new Monzo account. You can find information about opening an account with another bank on the Banco de España website.
