Savings Program Interest Rate Sheet (Lead Accounts)

This Interest Rate Sheet is part of and incorporated into your Lead Bank Savings Agreement and only applies to Savings Jars. See the [Lead Bank Interest Bearing Account Agreement] for additional information and the definition of capitalized terms that are not otherwise defined in this Interest Rate Sheet.

Savings Jars enable customers to earn interest on their long term savings goals.

Effective as of 28th July 2025

Personal Savings Jars

Everyday rate:

  • 2.00% Annual Percentage Yield (APY)

  • 1.98% Interest Rate

Preferred rate:

  • 3.75% Annual Percentage Yield (APY)

  • 3.69% Interest Rate

All personal Savings Jar balances earn our Everyday rate by default. Some customers may be offered our Preferred rate, including all Monzo Preferred subscribers.

Joint Savings Jars:

All balances earn the following rate:

  • 3.75% Annual Percentage Yield (APY)

  • 3.69% Interest Rate

The interest rate and APY above are effective as of the date indicated, and are variable rates. These rates may be changed at any time, in Lead or Monzo’s discretion, without advance notice to you. Changes will be posted on this Interest Rate Sheet.

As of June 18, 2025, the Annual Percentage Yield (APY) accrued from Monzo’s Savings Jar is 3.75% with a Monzo Preferred subscription and 2.00% APY for Monzo Everyday users. Interest rates are variable and may change. Fees may reduce earnings. The interest comes from us, not Lead Bank or Sutton Bank. Your total Savings Jar balance is capped at $100,000. Funds held in the Monzo deposit accounts are held with Lead Bank or Sutton Bank; Members FDIC, and are eligible for up to $250,000 in pass-through insurance in the event Lead Bank or Sutton Bank fails and if specific deposit insurance requirements are met and your card is registered. FDIC insurance does not protect funds in the event of Monzo’s failure or from the risk of theft or fraud. See FDIC Prepaid Cards and Deposit Insurance Coverage.

Monzo Preferred is an optional monthly paid, subscription membership program. Subscribers will be charged every month. Once enrolled, subscribers have access to Monzo’s highest APY, cashback rewards, exclusive upgraded benefits and access outside of Monzo’s basic offerings.
