What is the Monzo Referral Program?

We love how much you love Monzo - and we want you to get rewarded for it too! Every month, you can invite up to 5 friends to join Monzo and get Pro free for 30 days. You’ll earn $20 for every successful sign up - that’s up to $100 in a month!
To be eligible for the Monzo referral program, you will need to have made at least one successful card transaction for a minimum of $5. Only certain customers and transactions are eligible - see more information below.
Inviting your friends and family to join Monzo has never been easier:
1. Share your unique referral link
Your referral link is in the Referrals Hub in your Monzo app. Tap the 🎁 gift icon at the top of your home screen and share with any friends or family who do not have a Monzo account.
2. Your friend accepts the invitation
Your friend will need to:
Tap the link where they will be taken to the Monzo website to accept your invitation;
Enter their mobile number on the Monzo website;
Download the Monzo app;
Apply for a Monzo account using the same mobile number to accept your referral invitation.
Once your friend accepts your invitation, they'll receive instructions to the mobile number they provided on how to complete the next steps of their referral.
Make sure they’re using the right phone number - if your friend does not use the same mobile number to accept your referral invitation and to apply for the account, the referral will not be attributed to you.
FYI: The referral link will expire if not claimed within 14 days. If the invitation expires, you’ll have to repeat the steps above.
3. Celebrate!
Once your friend has successfully opened their Monzo account, you’ll receive a notification and an update in your Referrals hub!
You can always track the status of your referral by tapping the 🎁 gift icon and viewing your Referrals Hub. If you have any questions, you can chat with us 24/7.

For selected users, to be eligible to participate in the Monzo Referral Program as a Referrer, you must have completed at least one successful card transaction worth $5 or more within the past 30 days.
The transaction can be made using your Monzo physical or virtual card, or through your digital wallet (Apple/Google Pay).
The following transaction types will not qualify:
P2P apps like Venmo, Cash App, Paypal, or Zelle
Crypto sites or apps
ATM (in network or out of network)
Gift cards
Any transaction prohibited under Section 4 of the Cardholder Agreement (including, for example, online gambling)
Monzo instant transfers with friends
Any transaction made using your account/routing number
Transfers to linked bank accounts
Applicable to referral invitations shared on or after October 30, 2025. Referral invitations shared prior to this date are no longer eligible for any referral bonus.

You can customize the message and send it to people you would like to refer.
