What happens if I lock a Jar?
Locking a Jar allows you to put an extra obstacle between you and the money you are trying to save.
A locked Jar still allows you to add money whenever, and as often as you want. But it prevents you from taking money out, so you can help prevent yourself from taking away from the Savings you are trying to build up đź”’
When you first lock a Jar - you choose which date you want the Jar to become automatically unlocked. At that date, the Jar will turn into a regular Jar where you can add and withdraw money whenever you want.
💡 Pro tip: If you need to take money out of a Jar sooner than the date you set, you still can! You would just need to archive the Jar - and you’ll see a warning letting you know that the balance in the Jar will be transferred to your main balance.
