I signed up with a referral link, what types of purchases count towards earning my reward?

Many of our referral promotions will require that you spend or transfer money from your Monzo account - with the specific eligible ways of spending money changing depending on the promotion.

You must spend a total of at least $10 using the eligible methods listed below.

Examples of eligible ways to spend money ✅

Swiping or tapping your card in-person at a store
Adding your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay and tapping your phone at a merchant that accepts mobile payments
Using your card number to make an online purchase

Please note that the following spending categories do not count towards the the $10 requirement 🛑

Third party transfer apps like Cash App, Venmo, Apple Cash, etc.
ATM withdraws
Cryptocurrency transactions
Gambling websites/locations
Gift cards purchases
Payments with your account/routing number
Direct transfers to other Monzo customers
Certain digital goods and professional services may not qualify
